a) Device ID
On first launch, a random anonymous device ID is generated (128-bit, cryptographically secure). This ID contains no personal information and is used solely for matching subscriptions and usage limits. It is stored in the secure keychain (iOS Keychain / Android Keystore) and may persist across reinstalls.
b) Camera Images
When you scan a product, photos are compressed (max 1200px width, 75% JPEG quality) and sent to an AI service (Google Gemini) for analysis. Transmission is server-side via a Supabase Edge Function proxy. Images are used exclusively for product recognition and condition assessment, neither permanently stored on external servers nor used for training.
c) eBay Account Data
When you connect your eBay account, authentication is performed via the secure OAuth 2.0 standard. An access token is stored encrypted in your device's secure keychain. The token exchange is performed server-side — your eBay password is never processed or stored by the app. The following eBay permissions are requested: manage inventory, read account information, create and publish listings.
d) Seller Settings
When creating listings, you can optionally store seller settings (name, country, postal code, shipping preferences). This data is stored exclusively locally on your device in the secure keychain and is only transmitted to eBay when you publish a listing.
e) Drafts and Product Photos
All drafts (title, description, price, item specifics) and associated product photos are stored exclusively locally on your device. Photos are placed in the private app directory and leave your device only when you actively send them to Google Gemini (scan) or eBay (publish).
f) App Settings
Language, region, pricing mode, notification preferences, and consent status are stored locally on your device and do not leave it.
g) Subscription Data
Subscription information is managed via RevenueCat. RevenueCat receives your anonymized device ID and subscription status. No personal payment data is processed by us — billing is handled entirely through Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store).
h) Usage Data and Analytics
With your explicit consent (consent banner on first launch), anonymized usage events are collected (e.g., "scan started", "listing published"). These contain no personal data, only the anonymous device ID and event names. You can withdraw consent anytime in Settings → "Privacy".
i) Crash Reports
In case of an app crash, anonymized technical information (device type, OS version, stack traces) is sent to Sentry. No personal data is transmitted. PII scrubbing is applied to remove tokens, API keys, and device identifiers before transmission.

Note on data transfer to the USA: When using Google Gemini, eBay, RevenueCat, and Sentry, data may be transferred to the USA. Transfer is based on Art. 49(1)(a) GDPR (your explicit consent) and Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR).
To delete data: Settings → Delete all drafts / Disconnect eBay / Uninstall the app.
You have the right to file a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
ResellEngine AI is not intended for persons under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via an in-app update or App Store update.
